Poil de Carotte, Poil de Carotte

2022

Solal, a struggling artist, agrees to meet Flavien, a longtime friend whose work is internationally acclaimed. The friendly conversation gradually turns into a public lynching that strips bare every conviction Solal holds about theatre.

Far from a literal adaptation of Jules Renard's novel, the show takes pleasure in thwarting representation, offering the audience an uncomfortable experience of humiliation, somewhere between performative gesture and institutional taming.
